So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish

It’s that time of the year again; when I water my plants, grab my pair of hiking boots, drag the suitcase out of the door and shout: “so long, and thanks for all the fish!“…it’s vacation time!

I will be seeking an adventure through the Canadian wilderness. Starting from the west and finishing along the east side. This will take approximately 15 days. This is how it’ll look:

My Itinerary

Day 1 – 3: VancouverDay 4: Kamloops

Day 5 – 6: Banff

Day 7 – 8: Jasper

Day 9 – 11: The Canadian rail to the eastDay 12 – 14: Toronto

Day 15: Fly back home

As you can see I will have a busy 15 days with my camera. I will of course be updating you with pictures when I get back. So stay tuned! I will be away from WordPress for about 3 weeks. I wish you all a marvellous summer; and in the worst possible Schwarzenegger voice: “I’ll be back!

  1. Are you going to meet Raindrop in Vancouver?

Noir, I blog as one of the team writers for Tourism Vancouver’s blog, “Inside Vancouver”. I have suggested in some short articles with pics, some cheap/free things to see in Vancouver:

You will find lots of current stuff happening in Metro Vancouver on this blog. Other bloggers are Vancouverites.

  2. I should also add that I lived, worked and cycled in Toronto for over 20 years before moving to Western Canada. My whole family and good friends are still there. I go back to visit.

I know the city very well. It is different from Vancouver and I would argue far more diverse ethnically than Vancouver, huger ethnic/cultural neighbourhoods (except Vancouver does have some strong Asian-based areas with terrific restaurant choices and prices that people of Asian descent who know the food more intimately, make a visit.)
