Future Prospects: The Silver Lining

“Was I deceived, or did a sable cloud
Turn forth her silver lining on the night?”
John Milton

Since becoming a photographer, I have always wanted to sell my work. However, my severe case of procrastination has always stopped me, until now. Henceforth, the silver lining.

By the end of this year, I hope to have established a small business, of which I will be selling my prints in form of greeting cards and postcards. Thus, I begin this lengthy process of deciding the best possible way of presenting my work to you. Please note, I am somewhat of a perfectionist; hence the “lengthy process” of it all.

The first steps of my business begins with the business cards. Although this is not essential, I feel that it adds that extra touch of marketing. Designing the product was perhaps the easiest step; thanks to Studio Garnet for their border artwork. The hardest part is deciding which final design to use. So I will leave that up to you.

Below this text, I give you four of my business card designs, which I love. All four of these designs have been sent to for a sample pack, which I will be receiving in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, you can decide which of these designs you prefer: A, B, C or D. In my opinion, it’s between A and B. If everything turns out perfect, I hope to be sending out design B to you all. However, your opinions and feedback still matter. So please vote and comment on which card design you like best. By all means, if you can construct a better design, let me know.

  1. I voted for Design A! I love your plume, it is so much a part of you but, in my humble opinion, it looks a little lost in the detail of the feathery scrolling. Which I also love. You have great taste and a fantastic eye, trust your own good judgement and wishing you all best for your success!

  2. I actually Prefer Design A… The Simplicity… And, because the Design is so Elaborate around the Edges, the Feather almost seems Duplicitous… A Word I’ve never used before, but it came to me in trying to explain, lol… It’s not Deceptive or Misleading, but it does seem to Distract from the Elaborate Design… Like it’s battling for Attention against the Outer Design, but it simply can’t win

Ha, that’s just my Opinion… Because of your Elaborate Design, Just the Words is a nice Balance, no other Designs required…

    Congratz, Very Exciting

I voted for C, but I hesitated a lot between it and A. I just think that C is better than B. Generally I think the border is so decorative (beautiful design by the way) that the plume looks a bit too much. Then again it’s so compatible with the name and without anything else A seems a bit empty-ish… Tough choice!

  4. I vote for C but I also like the A without the Plume since it’s enough in itself and it’s about photography not writing, now if people know you as the Plume Noire then… Anyway with or without, the design is beautiful 🙂

I Liked D the best honestly.. Double Plume Win 🙂 Prolly why I like Emotobooks so much.. because there new and different. ❤ Keep up the good work!
